    I remember looking at pictures of an Olympics women’s volleyball match on some major news outlet and literally maybe 90% of the pictures were of all the players’ arses, as opposed to, say, THE GAME, because it’s not like anyone would want to look at that or anything.

    I still have yet to figure out what, exactly, the rules of beach volleyball even *are.* From what I saw, the game consists entirely of bending over (American players are apparently required to face away from the cameras during this phase), followed by ten seconds of grunting and stretching, followed by a five-minute break to drink large quantities of water, splay one’s crotch, and allow time for the announcers to reel off the next segment of the players’ life stories. Oh, and then when they get up, they switch sides and repeat the whole ritual. A very complex and challenging game, clearly.
