You have heard of shotgun wedding–well one was a bit different–more like one with mouses drawn at 50 paces.
Thanks for reminding me WHY I married you, not just HOW… 😀
I find that a margin stop at 50 and the page scanned to 450 pixels wide is about right. Your blog layout is a little wider than mine, though. Experimentation is part of the game.
Facebook: I sent you a friend request. I’m not sure what the point of Facebook is, other than inundating all of one’s contacts with invites that require the installation of profile-cluttering apps. It has a nice photo album feature, and the ability to import your blog via RSS; I mostly use it as secondary exposure for my work. Can’t hurt.
Hi, Olivander — Thanks for the tip. I scan mine at 600 wide. The two-column WP theme gives me a little more room, so I may end up going with a margin stop closer to 55-60 or thereabouts. Time for some playing around!
Wow, Collapsing World is just way too cool! I see you use image maps for links too — hot damn! I thought I was the only one.
I’ll keep an eye out for your friend request. Your description of Facebook is the most concise and dead-on accurate description I’ve seen. 😀 I need to check out the photo album and especially the blog import features. Thanks for pointing those out…
Cheer up! I don’t have a Facebook presence. Nor will I, ever. Remember, all this electronic crap is the Twilight of the Word. :-))
I too am strangely resistant to Facebook. I even use Twitter. I work for a technology conglorporation, even. But Facebook? Somehow I just don’t like its tacky layout and the ads and the “moods” and the fact that it’s all a bunch of kids on there. She says, brandishing her cane!
